Board Meeting

10-11 November 2023 in Athens

All elected Board members and one representative from each national section (country) are invited to attend.

On this occasion, the participation of all national sections is particularly important. This is the 20th anniversary of our association, an ideal time to reflect on our development and improve the way we operate. That's why, in the workshops leading up to the Board meeting, a new set of rules and the possibility of reforming the GEMME statutes will be discussed, and lines of action for GEMME in the short, medium and long term will also be defined.

For this unique occasion, we have chosen as the venue the country of the last national section to be created: GEMME Hellas. All the internal meetings, as well as the working lunches and the celebratory dinner, will be held at the Elia Ermou Hotel in Athens. It is located in the heart of the city centre and offers a spectacular view of the Acropolis from the restaurant where the dinner will be held.

    IMPORTANT NOTICE

    The reimbursement of expenses applies only to invited persons, who are the members of the GEMME Board of Directors, i.e. the members elected at the General Meeting and one (1) representative per member national section..

    The conditions for reimbursement are as follows:
    1) maximum 500 euros (with proof of payment)
    2) the national section is up to date with its membership fees
    3) the national section representative must send the national report in writing, even if there are no changes to the previous report.

    PRACTICAL AND USEFUL INFORMATION

    HOTEL & INSTITUTIONAL EVENT

    The institutional event on Friday morning will take place at the Greek Ministry of Justiee in Athens (Leof. Mesogeion Street, 96)

    The hotel where all the internal meetings will take place, as well as the working lunches and the celebratory dinner, is the Elia Ermou Hotel, located at 15-17 Ermou Street.

    During this weekend there are other events in Athens. We recommend that you book accommodation of your choice as soon as possible.

    We have pre-booked 10 rooms for Thursday 9 and Friday 10 November (5 of these rooms also for the additional night of 11 November) until the end of September 2023. After this date, the rooms will be released.
    Please also note that a full cancellation charge will apply for cancellations after 6 November 2023.

    Rates will be as follows (net daily rates, including taxes and American buffet breakfast):
    - Standard double room for single use: 170 euros
    - Standard double/twin room: 185 euros
    - Accommodation tax: 3 euros per room per night.
