To promote the association of judges working to support mediation, with the purpose of strengthening and improving the practice of mediation.<\/span><\/div> <\/div> <\/div> <\/div>

To promote the exchange of information concerning practices and experience in the area of mediation, conciliation or any other alternative method of dispute resolution.<\/span><\/p>\n

Contribute to the development of mediation and alternative dispute resolution by participating in conferences and related activities, raising awareness about mediation among professionals and the public, and helping to shape the training programs for mediators involved in these efforts.<\/span><\/p>\n

To support judges in every way possible in their individual efforts to promote mediation and to facilitate their training so that they can make appropriate and effective use of mediation, as well as any other legally recognized alternative dispute resolution methods.<\/span><\/p>\n

BOARD OF DIRECTORS<\/h2><\/div><\/div>[\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row css=”.vc_custom_1759932970704{margin-bottom: 50px !important;}”][vc_column][vc_column_text css=””]The association is governed by a Board of Directors<\/strong> composed of:<\/p>\n
    \n
  • at least 5 members, elected by the ordinary general assembly for a two year term;<\/li>\n
  • representatives of the national sections established in one of the member or former member countries of the EU or EFTA.;<\/li>\n
  • honorary members.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    The Board of Directors was renewed during the General Assembly held in Warsaw on 25 April 2026.<\/p>\n

    The following persons were elected as board members: Marielle Schumacker<\/strong> (Belgium), Avi Schneebalg<\/strong> (Belgium), Marie-France Carlier<\/strong> (Belgium), Desislava Djarova<\/strong> (Bulgaria), Theophile Margellos<\/strong> (Spain), Fr\u00e9d\u00e9rique Agostini<\/strong> (France), Cristina Apetroaie<\/strong> (France), Thierry Tonnelier<\/strong> (France), Jacques Vernochet<\/strong> (France), Linda Benra\u00efs<\/strong> (France), Malik Chapuis<\/strong> (France), Anne Gongora<\/strong> (France), Tomi Kimiskidou<\/strong> (Greece), Valeria Montaruli<\/strong> (Italy), Ugo Ferruta<\/strong> (Italy), Alessandro Bruni<\/strong> (Italy), Fulvia d\u2019Elia<\/strong> (Italy), Dalia Vasarien\u0117<\/strong> (Lithuania), Roger Tudela<\/strong> (Luxembourg), Jakub Petkiewicz<\/strong> (Poland), Monika W\u0142odarczyk<\/strong> (Poland), Marzena Korzonek<\/strong> (Poland), Daniel Stoll<\/strong> (Switzerland), Isabelle Bieri<\/strong> (Switzerland).<\/p>\n

    The Board of Directors appoints from among its members an Executive Committee<\/strong> composed of the president, vice-presidents, honorary members, secretary general, and treasurer and their respective deputies.<\/p>\n
