The EUIPO Boards of Appeal, together with the EUIPO Academy and the International Cooperation and Legal Affairs Department of EUIPO, are organizing the third IP Mediation Conference, which will be held online on March 22-23 2021.
EUIPO is the European Union Intellectual Property Office responsible for managing the EU trademark and the registered Community design. They also work with the IP offices of the EU Member States and international partners to offer a similar registration experience for trademarks and designs across Europe and the world.
Previous IP Mediation Conferences were held in 2014 and 2019. Since the first edition of this international conference focused on mediation in the field of intellectual property, GEMME and its representatives have participated in the event.
The conference programme for 2021 includes interesting topics such as ‘Mediation policies in the European Union’, ‘Mediation and arbitration: two faces of the same coin?’, ‘How to resolve International disputes: Mediation and other ADR Services’ or ‘Mediation and E-Commerce’.
It is a two-day event that will take place virtually for health security reasons.
